Swiss Army Knives

There are only two companies in the world that are the official makers of the 'Swiss Army Knife'. They are Wenger of Switzerland (since 1908), and Victorinox of Switzerland (since 1891).
Both companies make almost identical 'army' knives.

Keep in mind though, that the true Swiss Army Knife, the one given to the Swiss soldiers, is not red at all, but rather silver in colour. It is marketed as Soldier (or Recruit), and can be authenticated by checking the Victorinox or Wenger name & the year of manufacture which is stamped into the base of the main blade.
By the way, there are many counterfeits, and look-alikes. They are mostly rubbish, so be careful when buying, and watch out for sound-alike names like Swiss Army Style, and Swiss Scissors, etc.
