This chart shows an example of a fairly lightweight but still considered 'standard' gear list & backpack. Note that the first three items, the backpack, the tent, and the sleeping bag take up 54.6% of the total pack. Weight of this gear list is 25 lbs 15 oz (or 11.8 kg).
